For city folks, who are stressed, who have negative mental habits, we need to start somewhere to be calm and slow down. This course will be great start.
To understand one's breath, ones inner physical body / muscle and a new journey to your inner state of mind. will be a fun and enriching course. Led by Mark or our A42 senior instructors for level1 students.
The overall structure of our course is aimed for such holistic approach towards a calmer state of being, to begin a journey of inner state awareness.
Course Topics:
The course is conducted over 2 non-consecutive days to cover two components Day1 (Pool), Day2(Openwater)
Breathing Techniques & Anatomy
Mental & Relaxation techniques
Physiology of Freediving
Frenzel Equalization (Additional Topic)
Freediving Techniques - Dynamic finning, Dynamic no fins, Duck dives
Safety in Freediving - Buddy System and Rescue
Equipment in Freediving
Openwater Assessment Day
Prerequisites:
Be 18 years of age or older (16 or 17 years old with parent or guardian consent)
Comfortable swimming
At the end of the course, you will be certified with Level 1 certification if you achieved the following passing requirements including the passing of theory exam
Apnea Academy Level1 Passing Requirements
1m45s Static Apnea
30 meters Dynamic with bi-fins in pool
Dynamic no fins
10m Constant Weight Depth
5m Buddy Depth Rescue
You may choose to take the pool component first before committing to the open water component. Open water dates will be scheduled after the completion of pool component.
